COMPANY HISTORY
John Legarza was running machinery practically before he was out of high school. Construction, and especially earthmoving work, was in his blood. He worked in a variety of settings from mining exploration to road and highway jobs, ran and worked on many different pieces of equipment. He lived and worked through some up and down times, both for other companies and for himself.
In 1992, he started Legarza Exploration with two Caterpillar dozers, a Ford pickup, and two employees. The company's focus is mining and exploration support services, brought the company along, again, through some ups and downs, and though some other construction related work filled in the low times, the focus always came back to what the company does best.
Today there are many more pickups, dozers, excavators, backhoes, water trucks and some 50 or so employees. Today, it is truly the TEAM and the FOCUS that makes Legarza Exploration a success.
